Wizards of Waverly Place - the movie is an Original Movie Disney Channel, based on the hit Channel, Wizards of Waverly Place. The film premiered on August 28, 2009 in the U.S. with an audience of 11.4 million viewers, becoming the second highest rated Disney Channel at all times. In Portugal, the premiere took place on 17 October 2009, as part of Halloween special programming for the channel. In Brazil, its launch is on 25 October 2009, also included in the lineup of Halloween. Production began on February 15, 2009 in Puerto Rico [1]. The rest of the film was recorded in New York [2] and Los Angeles. In the film, the protagonists Selena Gomez, David Henrie and Jake T. Austin will, as in the series, the brothers play Russian. The film was written by Dan Berendsen, who also wrote Hannah Montana: The Movie.
